This was the first house Karen built in 1989. It features a large terrace with a sunshade in the entrance area and a table for al fresco dining. Inside, the “table-free design” creates a great social atmosphere. There’s a spacious living room with two sofa beds (both of which can also be used as singles) next to a fireplace, making the atmosphere particularly pleasant when the sky is over the Atlantic.

The apartment features a large kitchen on a raised level, connected to the living room via an Andalusian bar – a great place for cooking enthusiasts. The bedroom consists of a hand-carved wooden door and two windows, one overlooking the grounds and the other overlooking the courtyard, where pink buganvilla blossoms bloom almost year-round. The dazzling light of the Costa de la Luz streams through this window at dusk, illuminating the apartment with vibrant colors. Ideal for a siesta.

Casa Karen 1 and Casa Karen 2 can be connected via a beautiful terraced patio, forming a spacious house with capacity for up to 6 people.

It’s important not to store food, such as fruit and vegetables, near the refrigerator to avoid them being eaten by the boletes. If you keep salamanca mushrooms in the freezer, they’re good for eating mosquitoes, etc.
